In this first volume, Dominique Paris retraces the history of the network from its creation to the immediate post-war period, accompanied by a complete study of the rolling stock of the period. Around 300 photos, plans and unpublished archive documents illustrate the 300 pages of this first book.

Volume 2 will deal with the history and equipment of the network, from the post-war period to the present day.
