The Tour Auto is a continuation of an event whose creation dates back to 1899 and which was then called the Tour de France automobile. This is the oldest competitive event still in activity! Unique in its kind, the Tour de France automobile has the particularity of combining road events and confrontations on circuits. Departing from Paris, the competitors reached Tours (La Grange de Meslay), Limoges, Carcassonne, Pau and finally Biarritz. Extraordinary stopover towns for an Auto Tour which took place from April 21 to 27. The competitors competed on the circuits of Le Mans, Val de Vienne, Nogaro and Pau Arnos.
