This work constitutes a complete directory of assault tanks and the vehicles resulting from them, such as tank destroyers and armored recovery vehicles, but also more “surprising” models such as amphibious tanks or mine clearance tanks.

It begins with a history of the tank, its evolution, then presents alphabetical directories detailing more than 230 tank models with their description and history, as well as their specifications. Enthusiasts will find here the Renault FT tank, the most effective of the First World War, or the Leclerc tank produced at the Roanne arsenal until 2008.

The tanks are illustrated with more than 800 photographs, some from the famous Tank Museum in Bovington in the United Kingdom and never before published in a single volume to date.
